Community Service Co-operatives

Community service co-ops are a designation recognized under the Cooperative Association Act. Under BC law, community service co-ops have a similar status to that of non-profit societies. They operate to serve the interests of both members and the wider community. This is distinct from other types of co-operatives, such as producer, consumer, or worker co-operatives, whose main function is to serve their members.
