Get Involved
Volunteer
At Lohbrunner, we offer a variety of volunteer opportunities for those eager to get involved and learn more about farming. Our volunteers have been vital in supporting the co-operative through community projects in the Commons and other essential tasks.
Volunteers can participate in activities like planting, growing, farm maintenance, seed saving, and flower projects, as well as helping with our annual Pumpkin Festival. Many of our members, board members, and even market farmers began their journey as volunteers!
We also provide discounted u-pick prices for volunteers and members during the growing season. During this time, we host regular Saturday work parties from 10 am to 2 pm, where volunteers can lend a hand and connect with others in the community.
Check out our event calendar or contact us below if you’re interested in volunteering!

There are three categories of membership at LCFC, all of which come with privileges and responsibilities.
We welcome members to invest in their community farm.

A refundable $500 basic membership for an individual.
Perfect for the individual who values knowing their farmers and where their food comes from, this share is a way to pledge support for farming and food security on Southern Vancouver Island. Members will each get one vote at the Annual General Meeting, get to be part of a growing community around local food production, get access to member pricing on berries, will receive notification of products grown on the farm that are ready for purchase, and may participate in learning and social events that take place on the farm. Your support will help protect fertile farmland now, and for future generations to come.

Donate
Lohbrunner accepts donations from those wishing to support local agriculture and land stewardship in the South Island community. Please note that we are not a registered charity.
Educational Tours
We offer educational tours at Lohbrunner as an engaging way for local schools and community groups to get involved with the co-operative and learn about sustainable farming practices. These tours provide an interactive experience where participants can explore the farm, gain insights into organic farming, land stewardship, and biodiversity, and learn how food is grown and harvested.
We work with partners to tailor each tour to different age groups and interests, ensuring a meaningful and educational experience for all participants. You can learn more here about our previous tours with students from SD62.
